2010 Singapore Dragon Boat Festival

It was a great weekend for the team at the 2010 Singapore Dragon Boat Festival on July 10-11th.  SILVER MEDAL

In our hotly contested "Inter-International Business Community" division we placed 2nd and brought home the silver medals, once again earning our spot in the top of our league of ten international teams. Congrats to our friendly rivals the Australians on their victory, and to the Canadians for 3rd place.

The Inter-Club Championship was also notable. This event is open to all businesses and clubs in Singapore, and there were 55 teams competing - the most of any event category.

After a 1st place finish in our qualifying heat and a 1st place in the semi-final, we did our best in the Grand Final but came up as 5th out of 6. Still, that was the best performance of any of the international teams in the event.

Ice Cold Beer hosted an excellent post-race party, as usual. Presenting the medals was a high point and the party mood was shinier after that. And the 2010 season continues...new members always welcome.
